the pillbox has been to look like the orignal and used as many orignal parts as possible.

the original was used in 1939 at the end of rigg street.

On Monday Grandad and i worked on his cars.  My favorite car is a 1984 toyota group b rally car.  He has a lot of cars, he collects them.

Grandads favorite car is a renolt.  Grandad has been racing cars since we was a young boy.  He likes to buy old cars and do them up and make them new again.

He has celicas, lots of them, he likes collecting them.  Nana says they are just all rubbish and he wastes his money.

Grandad has ralled all over new zealand.  He hasnt had that many crashes.  My unlce crahsed his car and he never fixed it and grandad gets angry.

a 10m  whale shark was spotted in Tauranga.

A skipper on a boat spotted the whale.  There was 16 other people in the boat.  The skipper saw it go under the boat.

ANZAC DAY

This is my great grandad and great nana on their last anzac day service together in 2016.  Great nana  sold poppies for years around Greymouth.  She was known as the poppy lady.

This is a photo of me and my great grnadad when he was at war, and his small medals that go on his jacket.

Poppies are a symbol of the war and remembering the people who died at war.

The poppies were the first flower to grow after the war in mud and soil in Flanders in  Belgum.


Poppy day was started in 1922 in New Zealand.
